Yeay, brand new pacham in the house!!! To celebrate my brother’s despedida parteeey, I decided to experiment on Carbonara again. My previous carbonara recipes aren’t the best in the whole world, ok, that’s why I keep on cooking/experimenting it until I find the perfect one that will blown me away.
Quite honestly, I don’t really know how to cook that well. So last week I tried using a ready mix so I don’t have to worry about the timpla.
3 packs McCormick Carbonara Sauce Mix
1 big tetra pack of Nestle Low Fat Milk
1 250ml Nestle cream
7 strips of bacon (deep fried and cut into tiny bits)
500gm San Remo Fettuccine
Secret weapon: Magic Sarap!
Cook pasta according to package instruction.
Heat milk in a pan, then add McCormick Carbonara Sauce Mix, cook until the powder is dissolved.
Add nextle cream, pepper and bacon bits (if the taste is bland, add MAGIC SARAP!)
Add cooked pasta in the mixture, then add steamed broccoli
Top with Parmesan cheese.
Serve hot or cold.
Trying out the 5 minute brownie recipe I saw somewhere! Really yummy and fun to do.
4 tbsp all purpose flour
4 tbsp white sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
3 tbsp milk (evap, full cream or fresh milk)
3 tbsp oil (we used melted butter)
1 microwaveable mug
optional ingredients: choco chips, nips, cashew nuts, walnuts etc.
How to do it:
– mix all dry ingredients together
– add 1 egg, mix
– add melted butter and milk, mix again
– mix altogether
Establish a strong consistency of the mixture. We added some choco chips in the mixture too.
Put in the microwave oven for 3 mins.I was shocked at first to see it blowing up!
Don’t worry because it will subside once cooked
Dyaraaan! Here’s the final product – 5 minute brownie in a mug!
Success!!!! Now top with choco chips and nips for a lovelier presentation. Very easy to do, no need to bake! Great bonding activity with your team, friends or kids. We also tried to top it with Strawberry yogurt, really yummy!
