I looveee chicken sopas! It’s one of my fave comfort foods during rainy days. A few weeks back, I attempted to cook chicken sopas that’s a little unusual from I have done in the past. This time, I added a little bit of Nestle All Purpose Cream for that extra creaminess (yeah right whatever). It turned out really really delicious (oh yeah, because I love my own!).
1/2 kilo elbow macaroni
1 can of Carnation Evap Milk (BIG)
1 whole chicken breast (boiled, shredded)
1/2 cup of Nestle cream
Salt and Pepper to taste
Also, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP can do a lot of wonders!
How to cook:
Boil chicken breast with a dash of pepper/salt and some onion (set aside the broth)
Shred chicken into small pieces
Saute garlic and onion in butter
Add the shredded chicken
Add salt and pepper (and magic sarap)
Put the chicken broth, add some more water if you want
Once boiled, add the elbow macaroni
Keep at low heat to avoid overcooking your macaroni
Once macaroni is slightly cooked, add Carnation evap milk (don’t forget, should be in low heat!)
Slightly beat 2 eggs in a bowl then slowly pour in while mixing it constantly in a circular manner using a fork (this is to achieve that perfect tiny egg blossoms you see on egg drop soup haha and don’t forget, still at low heat, ok)
Add Nestle cream (amount varies, depends on the creaminess that you want to achieve, low heat)
Stir some mooreeee!
Add carrots, celery then cabbage
Trust me, this dish is yummy!!! Serve hot with pandesal while watching DVDs. Perfect comfort food during rainy days.
It’s affordable and serves up to 30-35 people (we had this for 2 days hahaha).
