Visiting Vigan

My friends and I will tour Ilocos for 3 days next week! This has been in my travel itinerary since last year, and it’s finally happening! Sooo happy! It would be a lot of fun if we could bring an RV noh? ( for all you rv financing needs, check out goodsamfinancecenter.com) But that’s ok, I’m fine with taking a bus with a very comfy seat.

You see, I love arts, culture, History, pop and everything else about humanities. And if I had to choose another career, I think it would definitely be a Historian. I don’t know. I just love the classics, vintage, antiques, hippies and all those old school stuff. This is why I am sooo excited for my first travel adventure this 2010.

The old city of Vigan is the best preservation city from the Spanish colonization period and entitled as Heritage City by UNESCO. The landmarks include St Paul Metropolitan Cathedral, Plaza Burgos, Plaza Salcedo in Mestizo District and the ancestral houses. Waahhh!!! Can’t wait to take a tour around town on a horse-drawn calesa, and eat their famous longganisa (pork sausage), bagnet (air-dried, deep-fried pork), bibingka (rice cake) and the empanadas at the Plaza Salcedo.

If you happen to be visiting Vigan on the 14th, let’s meet up haha. See yah!

Vigan I’m coming!!!
