Aww, this really is a sad news. My favorite Dirty Dancer died yesterday after his almost 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer.
“Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” his publicist, Annett Wolf, said in a statement Monday evening. Swayze died in Los Angeles, Wolf said, but she declined to give further details.”
A close family died from cancer last year and I can’t help but get really really sad when I hear news like this. Like Patrick, she also suffered for 2 painful years.
A year ago, Patrick appeared in a live TV event “Stand Up to Cancer” where he made this moving plea:
I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, a life not lived in the shadow of cancer, but in the light. … I dream that the word `cure’ will no longer be followed by the words ‘is impossible’
I dream of that day too. I hope scientists and doctors could find cure to all cancer, treatments for Mesothelioma and all deadly diseases that will give hope to many people. Rest in peace, Patrick!
Patrick Swayze is one of the greatest actors that i have ever seen. we would miss him just like the king of pop.
