When I was young, I never liked eating spaghetti. Don’t ask me why. I just get dizzy that’s why whenever I attend birthday parties, you wont see me devouring on it, just like other kids my age. Not until I tasted Jollibee spaghetti. I super love its sweet blend. Real aunthentic Pinoy dish. Although I find ‘herby’ spaghetti also delicious, I still prefer the sweet ketchup style LOL. For years, I have been trying to achieve that unique Jollibee taste whenever I cook on birthdays, too bad, their recipe is kept secret and I can only come up with my own yummy version. I am sharing to you my recipe. Enjoy!
1 kg. spaghetti noodles
1 kg. spaghetti sweet blend sauce
brown or white sugar
1/2 kg. ground pork
2 green bell peppers, diced
2 onions, chopped
1 head garlic, minced
3 tablespoons of cooking oil
2 cups of water
Salt and pepper to taste
Boil water, put a tablespoon of oil and salt, do not overcook the noodles. Make it slightly chewy or al dente!
Take out your Le Creuset Cookware and sauté garlic and onions in cooking oil.
Add ground beef, ground pork, laurel leaves, bell pepper, and a cup of water. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste then let simmer for another 10 minutes
Add brown sugar and the rest of your ingredients. You can also add ketchup if you like. Continue to simmer.
Serve with the cooked spaghetti noodles and grated cheese on top.
