Help Reduce Body Weight With Regular Use of Sauna

I was never the athletic type in school. When I was young, I used to play a lot of baseball, volleyball and football with my childhood friends but after multiple injuries, I never wanted to play anymore. Once,  my nose bled after I was hit with a baseball bat. It didn’t really hurt that much but I got scared with the blood flowing from my nose that seemed forever. HAHAHA. Believe me, it was nosebleeding at its worst!

We were playing volleyball one sunny afternoon when the spiker from the other team gave me a six-pack. I collapsed on the floor. Same thing happened when I got hit directly on the face by a football.  After those unforgettable experiences,  it was clear to me at a young age that my future is not into Sports, instead, I concentrated on playing scrabble, chess, board games and puzzles. LOL

Fast-forward twenty something years, I realized I need to get serious about my health and decided to get into Sports again. Though I am still traumatized with the six-pack I got years ago, I had to force myself to get into being active again. Now, I am into swimming and badminton whenever I have time.

I live very close the Fitness First and I go there at least 3 times a week. I mostly do cardio exercises and dance classes like retro, latin, jazz and body jam. After my usual routine, I spend 15-20 mins in the sauna bath. Do you know that regular sauna use can help reduce body weight? Research says a sauna session can burn between 300 to 600 calories. Wow! That’s really easy! Imagine, you don’t have to exert too much effort to lose weight? This happens due to the sweating process itself, as well as increased heart rate. Sauna also helps in detoxification. It stimulates the release of toxins from our bodies and it can lower your blood pressure & improves circulation. Those extra pounds will not disappear on their own. You have to work on it. If you want to be fit and healthy, motivate yourself to go to the gym, get into Sports and make it a habit. Start working out now and live a healthy lifestyle! You’re not only going to be healthier, you’ll also feel good about yourself.
