Anti Repetitive Strain Injury

RSI stands for Repetitive Strain Injury. If your hands or wrists hurt or go numb, you are suffering from RSI. These symptoms are associated with repetitive tasks, such as typing.

I think I have an RSI already. You know I spend 3/4 of my entire day in front of the computer and lately, I’m beginning to lose strength and coordination with my hands. I’ve been dropping things on my hand! Well, here are some simple tips on how to avoid RSI:

  • Take a break every 30-45 minutes for at least 5 minutes.
  • Stretch your arms, hands, neck, and back during breaks.
  • Maintain your posture. Don’t slouch.
  • Adjust your chair, monitor, use an ant-RSI keyboard, Razer mouse and a mouse pad with wrist rest.

Last week, I bought a new mouse pad with a soft wrist support and it really helps. Clicking  here and there has never become more comfortable and I’m loving it.
