A Filipina in Britain’s Got Talent 2008, Madonna Decena

Madonna Decena got a standing ovation from the crowd after singing the famous Whitney Houston song “I will always love you”

Here’s another reason for us to be proud. Pinoy domination ever. Galing galing.

32-year-old single mother Madonna, a club singer, wants nothing more than to bring her children over to Britain. She explained that she had to leave her two children behind with their grandparents, until she had raised enough money to send for them. Her rendition of I Will Always Love You was heartwarming and yes, Simon loved it! Amanda got teary eyed and that other judge said it was absolutely brilliant!

She’s a crowd favorite. Yes, Manay Chuva, she also reminds me of Paul Potts, the 36-year-old mobile phone salesman who won Britain’s Got Talent last year. Apart from having extremely talented genes, I think one major factor why he won is his sob story. We all love a little drama every now and then di ba. Anyway, sabi nga ni Simon…if you’ve got a talent….you’ve got a talent! That’s all. I hope she wins, she deserve it eh.

There is another Filipino (mom is Pinay) who is only 10 years old who IMHO has better chances than Madonna of winning BGT. His name is CHARLIE GREEN. Search for his name in youtube or just follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gX5F27DfsM
